Is it good (or bad) practice to place this on the same server as the actual BizTalk databases? The question is mainly from the perspective of performance and high availability. **Our Recommendations:** Install the BizTalk360 database in a separate SQL Instance from the BizTalk Databases - If the environment is very large-scale and the BizTalk databases are heavily used, then it might be better to move the BizTalk360 database to another instance. - It provides high availability monitoring. Even if the BizTalk SQL instances go down, BizTalk360 is monitoring the BizTalk environment! ![](https://cdn.document360.io/253f6006-3994-42d0-98cd-fdc637f51791/Images/Documentation/image-X6LDOEPI.png) Also, upgrades can be done without the fear of anything affecting the BizTalk production environment. Also, from a performance point of view, it can be helpful. But we also have many customers who have BizTalk360 on the same BizTalk server machine and have no issues. It would depend on the customer's requirements and also depends a bit on the load of the BizTalk databases. If the BizTalk databases load is not very heavy and you have adequate infrastructure in place, you can have the BizTalk360 database on the same SQL Servers as the BizTalk databases.
