Article Summary

With BizTalk360, you can set up numerous alerts. However, there may be times when you want to take the environment down for maintenance or stop the alert during holidays. One such scenario could be when you are deploying a new version of a BizTalk application or making some configuration changes to the existing environment. During these times, you do not want the system to send loads of false notification emails to the subscribers indicating a component(s) is/are down or during the holidays. BizTalk360 has an option where administrators can stop the alert notifications being sent for a specific time or during the holidays for every environment. Say, if the deployment is supposed to take 15 minutes, they can set up the "Stop alerts for maintenance" value to 15. The administrator can choose the time in minutes/hours/days. Once the time is complete, the stop alert will automatically reset, and the alerts start getting triggered. You can stop the alerts in two ways:

  • Schedule Maintainance
  • Setting up the Business Holidays

Setting up Schedule Maintainance

Configure a schedule to stop receiving alerts during then maintainance. The schedule can be configured in two ways ,

  1.   Immediate execution
  2.    Future execution - OneTime or Recurrence
  • Log in to the BizTalk360 application
  • Click 'Settings' (gear icon) located at the top of the page
  • Click 'Monitoring and Notification' in the Menu panel on the left side of the screen
