BizTalk360 Advisor allows BizTalk360 monitoring service to collect telemetry data from BizTalk environments. With this data, users can access advisor reports and scores, facilitating the identification of overlooked configurations or unused features. This helps ensure more efficient and optimized usage of the application for customers.
Regularly, BizTalk360 Advisor collects high-level data specific to the environments. This data includes number of visits made to each feature, details on configured and non-configured features, and feature usage data. With the collected data BizTalk360 advisor offers recommendations and suggestions for utilizing unused features within the BizTalk360 environment. Also, the score is calculated based on the BizTalk360 environment's health and usage according to the user's license tier.
Importantly, the data collection process does not involve gathering any business-related information from users' environments. The compiled data can be formatted into a PDF report and sent to the user, aiding in maximizing the utilization of BizTalk360. Users utilizing a proxy or firewall are advised to enable the domain (https://feature-tracking-function-app.azurewebsites.net) to ensure smooth execution of BizTalk360 Advisor.
BizTalk360 Advisor Configuration
BizTalk360 Advisor configuration will be enabled by default. Thus, whenever monitoring service is executed, it activates a sub-service known as "Feature Usage." This sub-service is responsible for periodically retrieving product-specific data on every 7 days. Once the data is collected in the environment, the next data collection time and the last data collected time will be shown. And the status of feature usage sub service is shown to alert the user if there are any issues in data collection.
The Organization Name and Domain Name will be automatically fetched from the credentials used for installing BizTalk360 services / SMTP Configurations / BizTalk360 App pools.
Send Report to BizTalk360 Team - Enabling this will send the collected data to us. However, to facilitate the submission process, it is essential to configure the (SMTP) settings.
The data collected will be transformed into a report, which will then be listed in the Report section to provide additional insights. Additionally, scores will be calculated based on the collected usage data and presented in the score card section, along with recommended actions.
