Reporting Schedules

The first step in setting up reporting in BizTalk360 is to create Reporting Schedules. If you are an existing BizTalk360 user, you can relate Reporting Schedules similar to creating alarms.

The Reporting Schedules functionality helps you to create a specific report on a specific time. Say, you can configure reports to generate every day at 9 AM or on the 15th of every month at 6 PM. Also, you can define the email id of the person who should receive the reports.

Creating the Reporting Schedule

To create a reporting schedule in BizTalk360,

  1. Log in to BizTalk360 and navigate to the Analytics section

  2. Expand the Reporting section from the left navigation menu

  3. Select Reporting Schedules 

  4. In the toolbar, click Add to create a new reporting schedule. On the right side of the screen, the 'Schedule - Basic' pane appears. The fields in bold are required.

    • Schedule Name - Enter a friendly name for the schedule
    • Description - Enter the description for the schedule. This text will be sent in the alarm email.
    • Disable Schedule - Use the toggle to enable/disable the schedule. Alternatively, you can disable the scheduled execution by selecting the schedule and clicking the Status button to set the status of the schedule.
    • Email Ids - Enter the email addresses (separated with commas ) of the recipients who should receive the reports
  5. Next – Navigates you to the 'Schedule - Advanced' screen

  6. The schedule configuration screen defines when you want to generate a report. The available options are -

    • Daily 
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
Schedule Configuration(Monthly)
When you select 'Monthly', You can create the schedule for a particular day in the month. Example: 17th of every month at 11 AM.
If a particular day is not present in the month (say, Feb 29), then the BizTalk360 Reporting service will skip that month and no report will be generated for that month.
  1. Schedule Time - Pick the time from the drop-down to define the time to generate the report
  2. Previous – Navigates back to the previous screen. OK – Stores the Reporting Schedule in the BizTalk360 database
  3. Click OK to save the reporting schedule

Next Run Time 
Once the schedule is configured. In the reporting schedule grid, you can see the next run time when the schedule will get generate.

Edit the Reporting Schedule

To edit a reporting schedule:

  1. Log in to BizTalk360 and navigate to the Analytics section
  2. Expand the Reporting section from the left navigation menu

  3. Select Reporting Schedules 

  4. Select the checkbox against the schedule name that you wish to modify

  5. Click Edit to modify the reporting schedule. On the right side of the screen, the 'Schedule - Basic' pane appears. The fields in bold are required.

  6. Schedule Name - Modify the friendly name for the schedule

    • Description - Modify the description for the schedule. This text will be sent in the alarm email.
    • Disable Schedule - Toggle the icon to disable the scheduled execution
    • Email Ids - Enter the email addresses (separated with commas and semicolon) of the recipients who should receive the reports
  7. Next – Navigates you to the 'Schedule - Advanced' screen

  8. Modify the schedule configuration as per your requirement.

  9.  Click OK to save the modified reporting schedule

Delete the Reporting Schedule

To delete a reporting schedule:

  1. Log in to BizTalk360 and navigate to the Analytics section
  2. Expand the Reporting section from the left navigation menu
  3. Select Reporting Schedules 
  4. Select the checkbox against the schedule name that you wish to delete
  5. Click Delete to delete the reporting schedule
  6. You will see the Confirm Delete pop-up screen
Delete Schedule
All the reports mapped with the schedule will get unmapped and further reports will not get generate until the reports are remapped with another schedule. 
  1. Click Yes to delete the reporting schedule. Click No if you wish to retain the reporting schedule.

Configure the Report Schedule Status

To set the status of your reporting schedule:

  1. Log in to BizTalk360 and navigate to the Analytics section
  2. Expand the Reporting section from the left navigation menu
  3. Select Reporting Schedules 
  4. Select the checkbox against the schedule name that you wish to set the status
  5. Click Status and select Enable (if you wish to enable your reporting schedule) or Disable (if you wish to disable your reporting schedule)
