Email notification error: Client does not have permissions to send as this sender

Problem Description

While sending an email notification from BizTalk360, you may encounter the following error

BDAT command has been rejected by the server. The server responded: 550 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender

This error occurs when the email address configured as the sender does not have permission to send emails through the configured mail server.

Solution

To resolve this issue, update the From email address configured in Manage Email Template.

  • Navigate to: Settings → Notifications → Manage Email Template → Edit Email Template

  • In the email template, locate the From Email Address field.

  • By default, it may be configured as: no-reply@biztalk360.com

  • Change this address to your organization's approved email address or another valid email address that has permission to send emails through the configured mail server.

After updating the From email address,

  1. Save the email template,

  2. Restart the BizTalk360 monitoring service, and try sending the notification again.
