The BizTalk360 Service account is the account we consider as an admin account within BizTalk360. Most commonly, we use the same account for the Application pool, the Monitoring service and the Analytics service.
Find the Service account
Go to the server were BizTalk360 is installed
Open services using services.msc
Choose BizTalk360 Monitor
You can see the Log On As account which is known as the service account.
Update Service Account Credentials
Within BizTalk360, the service account needs to be updated in three places:
IIS Application pool site
BizTalk360 monitor services
BizTalk360 Analytics services
Credentials update in Application Pool
RDP to the server where BizTalk360 is installed
Navigate to the IIS application pool
Select BizTalk360 > Advanced Settings > Application Pool Identity > Custom user settings
Enter the service account details and confirm
Credentials update in Monitoring Services
RDP to the server where BizTalk360 is installed
Navigate to BizTalk360 monitor services
Select the Log on tab within properties window
Enter the service account details
Credentials update in Analytics Services
RDP to the server where BizTalk360 is installed
Navigate to BizTalk360 analytics services
Select the Log on tab within properties window
Enter the service account details
If you have two environments, for instance, one is a production environment and other is a QA environment. The production environment has all the permissions to BizTalk server and BizTalk360 app pool and QA environment does not have the permissions to these and does not show the correct information about BizTalk environment information. If you face this issue in BizTalk360, follow the below steps to solve the problem -
BizTalk360 service account needs to be updated in below places for the particular environment
IIS app pool site
BizTalk360 monitor service
BizTalk360 Analytics service
If you give the appropriate permissions, QA environment will be accessible and the correct data will be shown in BizTalk360.
